God’s Ministers do minister (2 Chronicles 29:11)

11 My sons, do not now be negligent, for the Lord has chosen you to stand in his presence, to minister to him and to be his ministers and make offerings to him.”

We are God’s ministers. When we say MINISTERS (noun), these are the people who represent for example a government in a foreign country. Therefore as Christians by the name itself, we represent God, we carry the name of Christ.

ImageLike what Christ did when He became a man, we need to MINISTER(v) the people. It means, we have to serve them and help them. God said, love your neighbor as you love yourself being sensitive to their needs and ministering could be one way of showing our affection. Not only should we minister to our fellowmen, above all, we should minister to god.We should serve Him and obey Him.

So, whether it be a verb or a noun, we are called to MINISTER. We are God’s ministers and our duty is to minister to god and to our fellowmen. Isn’t it a great privilege to be chosen by God to become His ministers?
