20 Thus Hezekiah did throughout all Judah, and he did what was good and right and faithful before the Lord his God. 21 And every work that he undertook in the service of the house of God and in accordance with the law and the commandments, seeking his God, he did with all his heart, and prospered.
Let us look at the life of Hezekiah. He was 25 years old when he began to reign and he was in power for 29 years in Jerusalem. He is the grandson of Zechariah, who also lived a faithful life. Just like his grandfather, Hezekiah did what was good and right in the eyes of God. He became obedient and seek God first among others. The reward of his righteous deeds—he became prosperous.
If we want to have a prosperous life, we must be like King Hezekiah. There should be a main goal inculcated in our minds and that is to please God. Sounds easy but this is hard to put into action. So hard because we could be persecuted and mocked for being odd and traditional since we are living in a modern world—which had introduced new sets of beliefs that contradicts the Word of God.But despite these things, as chosen generation, we must dare to go against the flow of this world. Let us hold on to God. He will never let go and mind you, God never loses His touch. Strive hard to please Him and prosperity will pour out from Heaven.
