Ask, Seek, Knock (Psalm 34:17)

When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears
and delivers them out of all their troubles

As a kid, it is hard to ask our parents for a toy when we’ve have been a bad, disobedient and hard-headed child. However, it is so easy to request when you know you’ve been submissive, when you excelled in school, got 5 stars or when you did some house hold chores.

I was thinking, is it the same with our Father in heaven?

When we sin, it seems like a wall is placed between us and God. We condemn ourselves and think that we do not deserve to ask something from God. Sin really separates us from Him. On the other hand, when we do good and righteous things, it is so easy to pray and ask God what we need because we can claim the promises He had for us. We become confident because we obeyed.

Don’t hesitate to ask, seek and knock. God is there never taking His eyes away from you. He knows every need, every plea, and every situation. You just have to show Him that you need him. Whatever comes your way, you will be able to surpass because you’ve got a Savior!

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”(Matthew 7:7)
