Be not afraid when a man becomes rich,
when the glory of his house increases.
For when he dies he will carry nothing away;
his glory will not go down after him
It is in human nature to envy those who were blessed financially more than ours. They, who were born with silver spoon on their mouth, they who spend money as if there is no tomorrow. We sometimes daydream how would it feel like to be on their shoes, how would it feel to become a millionaire even just for a day?
The love of money is the root of all evil, not the money itself. It is not bad to earn for a living, it is not those millionaire’s fault that they were born rich but it is the hunger for wealth that usually steals us from God’s. Just to earn more, we work hard day and night until we reach our home and went straight to bed then sleep forgetting our quiet time with the Lord. True, church needs tithes but first and foremost it is God who should be placed in the pedestal, not our jobs, not fame, not even ourselves. Death will inevitably come. Surely we will not be able to bring all the wealth and savings we have here on earth. Choose where to invest, choose whom it is best to invest.
There is certainly more to life than just money.
