The Right Refuge (Psalm 57:1)

Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me,

for in you my soul takes refuge;

in the shadow of your wings I will take refuge,

till the storms of destruction pass by

storm 22

Those who choose the wrong refuge will easily stumble. Let us take for example the story of the three little pigs and the big bad wolf. What happened to the first two was expected because what they built could easily be destructed unlike the youngest house. Another instance is the parable of the seed. Those that are planted on the rock easily will die than those which are sown on a fertile soil.

Storms will come to life. Some are weak some are strong which could decline not just our physical body but also the Spirit. In such times we should have the right refuge who will never leave u in times of destruction. One who is way much stronger than the toughest trial, the One who knows the answer to everything.

Let us take sanctuary to our Lord God. He had rescued us at the Cross, He’ll certainly do the same for the next years to come for our sake!
