Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked,
from the throng of evildoers
Who would ever forget the shooting incident of 20+ innocent students in Connecticut? After few days it was followed by another shoot-up incident in the country which had left seven innocent peoples’ lives. What on earth are this wicked men doing? Killing blameless people without fear leaving the victims’ families devastated. Seems like there is no safe place to hide other than on God’s protective wings.
As I continue reading Psalm 64, I got an answer. Verse seven says, “but God shoots his arrow at them, they are wounded suddenly.” Verse eight, “They are brought to ruin, with their own tongues turned against them; all who will see them will wag their heads”.
God doesn’t tolerate wickedness. Time will come that He will judge us accordingly. We should face the consequences of our own doing. Justice will be served and man will say that truly there is a God who judges on earth.
Ask God to protect you from evil. Let Him cover you with His precious blood. “But why good people become victims of injustice?” we might ask. If for some instance you became a victim, do not hate God. There must be a purpose of him for allowing it. He’ll reveal it in no time you’ll see. Those who do wicked things will suffer its consequence. With God, justice will be served for sure.
