You who have made me see many troubles and calamities
will revive me again;
from the depths of the earth
you will bring me up again
There will come a time when each and every one of us will face storms of life, literally or figuratively. Such circumstances happen for a reason that will teach us a lesson. It will make us stronger, braver, fiercer and will bring out other qualities of being a good fighter.
One thing is for sure with regards to life’s trials, we will not be able to do survive it all without a more powerful being who supports us.
I thank God that I was born in a Christian country wherein its countrymen do believe in God, the God who saves, the God who created us. For this obvious reason, despite the number of calamities that had struck the country, Filipinos still manage to stand up and continue life after being stumbled. Watch interviews of disaster victims and you will be surprise to see the smile on their face while saying their deepest gratitude to the Lord for the gift of life, that in spite of the disastrous event, they are still alive and kicking which is most important.
Thus, when a storm comes to our life, the more should we draw closer to God. Turn back not away from Him. Think that the storm will come to pass. There is Jesus, hide in the shadow of His wings. Be still child and know that He is God.
