But we your people, the sheep of your pasture,
will give thanks to you forever;
from generation to generation we will recount your praise
Christians are all aware of the great sacrifice that our Father God had done as stated in John 3:16, for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, whosoever believeth in him should not perish but will have everlasting life. Without the shedding of the blood of Jesus, we are all doomed to eternal damnation.
For this reason, our God deserves our expression of deepest gratitude. He who gave His only Son for us to be saved—He, who answers us when we call, He, who protects us from evil, He, who provides our needs every single day, He, who heals us when we are sick, He who showed us the greatest and incomparable love should receive our “thank yous” every day.
There are so many things and many reasons for us to thank God. Count the blessings instead of the misfortunes. It will never hurt us be grateful. Let us fill our prayers with thank yous before we utter our long list of things to ask Him.
The worship most acceptable to God comes from a thankful and cheerful heart.
