How to Achieve Happiness (Psalm 97:11)

Light is sown for the righteous,
and joy for the upright in heart

Never get tired of doing good. We shouldn’t just follow where the current of this wicked world flows. Be wise! We should be guarded by the Spirit. Do not put down other people just to succeed, instead, bring them up with you.

The prize of having an upright heart and doing righteous deeds is insurmountable joy. You learn to accept other people, you learn to forgive and forget, you learn to appease those whom you hate, you learn to throw away envy and crab mentality, and you learn to love all for the glory of God.

When our goal focuses on pleasing God, happiness is so easy to reach despite the hardships. It is because we have contentment imbedded deep inside our hearts. We humbly wait for God’s time instead of resorting to unrighteous things just to have what we want.

God is the main source of joy. He is the light that helps us find the right path.

It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness–Charles Spurgeon
