The Lord is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
He will not always chide,
nor will he keep his anger forever
A lot of not so good things can occur because of rising temper. Some needs to undergo anger management programs. Sometimes, when a person is furious, He utters bad words, curse, name call or throw things not minding if he/she could hurt someone. A person in that state can somehow become violent.
It is never wrong to be angry. What is not right includes the things we do when we are furious. Never displace anger to a living thing!
The Lord, if we could recall, had instances written in the Bible when He was provoked to anger. Cases such as Sodom and Gomorra, tower of Babel and the Golden Calf were just some of it. He doesn’t get angry easily but He does when inflamed. However, one thing is for sure, His fury does not last for a lifetime. He forgives those who ask for it or even before we ask for it since the day Christ died at the Cross.
If we could just be like God who can control His temper, who is slow to anger, who easily forgives, who is gracious and whose love is steadfast, we could have saved hearts that were shattered because of fury.
