Seek the Lord and his strength;
seek his presence continually!
The moment you wake up early in the morning what is the first thing that you usually do? Are you one of those who immediately rise out of bed to take a bath or that one who stay at bed for minutes daydreaming until you fall into sleep again? Are you that one who checks cellphones for text messages or surf the internet for Facebook or twitter notifications? Or probably you are some kind of a domestic person who awakes early to cook food, prepare the table, sweep the floor, etc.
Whatever keeps us busy everyday, may you be a student, an office worker, a house wife/ househusband or whatsoever, one thing should we keep in mind upon walking up is seeking God first. Don’t forget to say your thank you for giving a bright new day, for the life He gave and for all the blessings He did and He will send. Never leave the bed without talking to our Creator.
In addition to prayer, we must read the Word of God which serves as food for our soul. To some, morning is the best time to spend a time with the Lord specially minutes after waking up but there still are people who do have a hectic schedule in the morning especially working dads and moms who need to prepare themselves and also their children every day. No matter what time of the day, make sure that you spend a quiet time with the Lord. It is not the time that matters; it is your heart’s desire to seek God daily and your obedience to the Father.
We should be thankful that there is no schedule for us to knock on God’s door. We can call unto Him any time of the day. So whether you are on your way to school or work, spending your lunch break, doing your reports or while taking a bath, you can talk to God. Seek His presence continuously. Pray and pray. The reason that we communicate with the Lord is because we just can’t help it.
