BRAVERY: A matter of choice (Psalm 108:19)

With God we shall do valiantly;
    it is he who will tread down our foes

When I hear the word “valiant”, the Biblical character that comes to my mind is David. He was determined enough to face the giant because He knew that God was with him. If we could be just like the little David, many experiences should have been tried, opportunities grabbed, fears were faced and many souls should have been saved if we aren’t so afraid to share God’s words.

Fear hinders a man to progress. Countless things could have been done if we are not so afraid to face it. If God be with us, who can be against us? If the Holy Spirit is leading us to this path then we should go. If God says go, who can say no?

Bravery is a matter of choice. The heroes who fought for our country opted to do so even if it will cause their life. The very best example is Lord Jesus who suffered and died to give us our freedom from sin and damnation. We need not be coward to fight for what is right. Never mind the foes who love to bring us down, our God will take care of them.

One of the things that we should do valiantly is to share God’s words especially to the unbelievers. Jesus had done His great part at the cross of Calvary, now it is time for us to fulfill what He wants. His vision is our mission. There is no need to fear rejection. God is backing us up.
