My Very Best Friend (Psalm 116:1-2)

I love the Lord, because he has heard
my voice and my pleas for mercy.
Because he inclined his ear to me,
therefore I will call on him as long as I live

Being stuck in elevator for hours with no one who could hear your pleas and cry for help could be one of the scariest scenarios I wouldn’t want to experience. Sometimes, dealing with life’s circumstances by our own could be comparable to that. Furthermore, there are things we cannot share to others, secrets we cannot divulge. Man at times couldn’t be trusted enough to keep promises not to disseminate our biggest mistakes. It wouldn’t be certain that people will not judge us for choosing the wrong path. Even our closest friends whom we thought could understand us will sometimes condemn us or give wrong advices.

To such instances where you seem alone in the battle, do not hesitate to call your very best friend—JESUS! He hears our every plea. He listens to our sobs. He doesn’t condemn us for the wrong doings we had executed because He had already paid the price. He will not surely divulge your secret.

Do not carry the burden alone. Call unto God. Certainly He is all ears to what His sons and daughters are praying.
