Bought With A Price (Psalm 130:3-4)

If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities,
    O Lord, who could stand?
But with you there is forgiveness,
    that you may be feared.

If God is tracking our sins, I must be one of the topnotchers and I am ashamed of it. Sometimes I am aware, few times unintentional. Big or small, whatever kind of sin it is, still it is considered as transgression and God is not please with it.

Romans 6:23 says “For the wages of sin is death”. If that is the case, I must have died many times. However, I thank God for that three letter word “BUT” which means Aha!There’s hope! Because the continuation of the verse states, “…the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord”.

No matter how wicked are we, God is faithful and just to forgive those who confess their wrongdoings. If we are all clean, then He shouldn’t have sent Jesus to save the world. We have been bought with a dear price that is why we must show God that we deserve to be saved. We have to please Him and avoid sinning. It is really a difficult task especially in this generation in which people are becoming liberated but the fear of the Lord makes us triumphant. The blood of Jesus covers a multitude of sins.
