He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.
For three weeks I was assigned as a volunteer nurse in Perpetual Succor Hospital and Maternity’s Operating Room. Almost every day I had witnessed operations being performed usually maternity cases like Cesarean Section and Total Abdominal Hysterectomy Bilateral Oophorectomy, Explore Laparotomy, etc. To start, an incision is being made and ends with suturing. It will take few weeks to months before the wound will completely heal.
We are no vampires that when wounded, it will immediately heal. We do not have any special powers to hasten the healing process. At least once in our life we’ll get to experience on how it feels to be broken hearted perhaps from friends, family, relationship, work, etc. It takes time to mend a broken heart but one thing is certain, it can be made whole again by the Fixer, the Healer.
“Cast your burdens upon me”, God said. Doesn’t it lessen the pain when you know someone shares the weight of it? And God will heal all wounds in due time. In my 22 years of existence, I haven’t seen yet a fresh wound that remained fresh still up to now. Same with our wounded hearts, it will be fixed one day. Just learn to trust and have faith to the Healer.
