Remove far from me falsehood and lying;
give me neither poverty nor riches;
feed me with the food that is needful for me,
lest I be full and deny you
and say, “Who is the Lord?”
or lest I be poor and steal
and profane the name of my God.
What do gymnasts in a balance beam, surfers on a surfing board, acrobats walking through a wire and riders riding a bicycle have in common? To perform the task, these persons must possess a good and stable sense of steadiness.
Equilibrium is being defined in math as a value or state variable where the state variables do not change or simply it is being signified by an equal (=) sign. When it comes to Physics, it refers to a condition of a system when neither its state or motion nor its internal energy state tends to change with time. A very much simple definition of it in general is that equilibrium is the state of balance.
Why do we have to live in equilibrium? Too much or too less could never be better than what is enough. Too much eating would cause indigestion and obesity while too less of it could lead to ulcer and malnutrition. The verse above had stated too much or too less is not what he wanted but what is just sufficient.
If you are on the state of overflowing, share your blessings to others. When it is too much, probably you don’t need it so you must give it to those who do. Are you on the state of lacking? Then do not resort to some wicked tactics for fast money. Instead, have faith to God and ask Him to provide. If you are on the state of having just enough, thank God and be contented with what you have. It is from contentment that we learn to appreciate life and experience happiness.
