A husband’s best blessing (Song of Solomon 4:9-10)

You have captivated my heart, my sister, my bride;
    you have captivated my heart with one glance of your eyes,
    with one jewel of your necklace.
How beautiful is your love, my sister, my bride!
    How much better is your love than wine,
    and the fragrance of your oils than any spice!

brideIf I were a boy even just for a day I’d go find a girl who possesses a good heart. Men are visual by nature and the top quality that a girl should have for almost all of them is a beautiful face and a sexy body. Physical characteristics will soon fade.A pretty face who doesn’t have the heart of worship and devotion to God almighty is more of a curse than a treasure. On the other hand, a good wife is a husband’s best blessing.

Boys, you shouldn’t settle for anything less. Even if right now you still aren’t ready for commitment, you should pray for your future wife. Ask God what you want specifically and He will give you the desires of your heart. Don’t just go for physical appearance. Choose not a woman who loves to dress what is in in fashion instead, choose the one who is clothe with purity and humility of the heart. Choose not someone who is adorned with too many jewelries but be with the one who is covered with kindness.

To those men who are already married, strengthen the foundation of your marriage. Let God be the center of your relationship. Love your wife until your last breathe and never ever look to any other woman the same way you look at her. She is God’s best gift to you, treasure her. And if ever she grows bigger, wrinkles appear and her hairs turn gray, do not love her less. Instead, let love grow each day. Physical attraction shouldn’t be the basis. Being loved by a woman is one of the greatest experience that a man shouldn’t trade to anything.
