God’s Great Plan ( Isaiah 14:24)

The Lord of hosts has sworn:
As I have planned,
    so shall it be,
and as I have purposed,
    so shall it stand

The reason why I love to trust God is because He is always true to His promises. Everything that is written in the Scriptures will all come to pass.\

We can always count on God. When typhoon Ondoy and Habagat had struck Manila leaving the streets flooded, it never entered my mind that the event which had happened thousands of years ago will happen again. Why? Because God said He will not flood the Earth the same way as Noah’s time.

It is nice to know a lot of God’s words especially when you memorize it. When tough times arrive, we have something to hold on to and that is the Word of God. He said He will never leave us nor forsake us.If He is with us who can be against us? He is the same yesterday, today and forever. His love never fails.

Jeremiah 29:11 narrates, for I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Our God is a master planner. All the hardships that He allows to exist are all part of life. Everything has a purpose and these trials will mold us to become better persons thereby achieving success. All the failures we had endured will become our stepping stones to pursue our dreams. Do not quit, God is holding us. He is with us in every step of the way. His plans and His purposes is what’s best for us.

Search no more (Song of Solomon 3:1-2)

In my bed at night
I sought the one I love;
I sought him, but did not find him.
I will arise now and go about the city,
through the streets and the plazas.
I will seek the one I love.
I sought him, but did not find him.

love is waiting by ricaelaine

Love is waiting. We do not have to search for it. We just have to wait for it to come our way. There is always a time for everything just like the meteorological conditions. During summer seasons, we do search for rainy days because of the hot weather. Our prayers might not be granted because there is a time for the rain to pour.

Brooke Fraser’s song says love is waiting until you’re ready. We do not have to rush things and end up with the wrong one. Search no more because when we truly desire it, we will surely find it at the right time. God is preparing that special someone for us so we should ready ourselves too by being a good wife/husband all the days of our lives.

If we truly are meant to find someone, we have to wait for that person to come. Though we may be poles apart now, God can move mountains to bring us together at His perfect time. There is no need to search for nothing for even when we do not look for it, love will find us. Waiting is everything and once we found our true love it would be all worth it.

The punishment (Isaiah 13:11)

I will punish the world for its evil,
    and the wicked for their iniquity;
I will put an end to the pomp of the arrogant,
and lay low the pompous pride of the ruthless.

I had mentioned in my previous write-ups that I am fond of watching a reality television series that aims to find answers to serious crimes with the help of local police and forensic investigators. The series was entitled SOCO-Scene of the Crime Operatives. One of the most unforgettable story for me is the case of “Grace”-a crime survivor. She was a 14 year old rape victim who was almost decomposing when found. A part of her head where a wound was seen was decaying with visible worms on it, eyes sunken and with mass-correlated odor. Thank God for she is still alive despite her condition! Thanks be to those who rescued her after many days of suffering. However, the bad news is, the suspect is still free and justice has not been served for “Grace.”

Why do such crimes happen to innocent people? And why do these wicked men exist? Even though we say justice could be serve if I am in the shoes of the victim or the victim’s family, it will never be acceptable. I don’t want any crime to happen.

For every wrong move we make, there is a corresponding consequence. These wicked people may have the time for now but when God punishes and serves vengeance, where will it put them?

We all have our own shares of wickedness. If we truly want to enter the gates of Heaven, we have to sincerely ask God’s forgiveness and turn away from sin. Aside from that, we must face the consequences of our own actions. God hates evil and we as His children should hate it too. When one does not want to be punish, he must know the rule and that is to do good at all times. Bad things won’t do us any good in the first place.

Do not provoke wrath (Isaiah 12:1)

You will say in that day:
“I will give thanks to you, O Lord,
for though you were angry with me,
your anger turned away,
    that you might comfort me.

It is hard to pacify someone who is on the height of their fury. When someone is angry, it seems like that the person evolved because he/she seems not like his/her usual self. God is patient but when provoked, He really gets mad at us. Imagine what had happened during Noah’s time, to Sodom and Gomorrah and to the Israelites at Mt Sinai.

But the best thing about God is that He is so loving. No matter how angry he is, just like our parents out there, His wrath turns away that He might comfort us.

We have done so many things that are unpleasing in the eyes of God. We all know He hates sin but we still keep sinning. If we could do a thing so as not to provoke Him to fury, we should do it, right? So we should get rid of doing wicked things. We should obey what God says and we will not be misled for as long as the Holy Spirit convicts.

A lesson we should apply based from this verse is that no matter how annoyed are we, we should never forget to show how we love our fellowmen and that we do care for them.
