Trust in the Lord forever,
for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.
Most, if not all of the houses of today were made of rocks and cement. Ever wonder why this is so? Notice the small rocks in the river. No matter how strong the current is and wherever the water takes them, still they stand strong and stay in one piece. Some trees may have existed for about centuries but rocks were present for about thousands to million years ago. They are the silent witnesses of earth’s beauty and destruction.
In the verse above, our God is likened to an everlasting rock. That means we could depend on Him just like how we do on the rocks and stones used for making our houses. We could voice out our concerns to Him and it will never be erased in his memory same way as the sculpted words written in a rock. We can put our trust in Him for His existence is everlasting. As long as He is there, there is no way we should lose hope because He means forever.
Doubt not when it comes to putting trust on God. Life may be tough but God is gracious to those who have strong faith in Him. He did not promise us an easy life but He did said that He will be with us in every step of the way.
He gives us strength to overcome challenges and provides what we lack in times of need.
When life gets harder and harder, the more should we draw to God closer and closer.
