Good foundation (Ezekiel 6:13)

And you shall know that I am the LORD, when their slain lie among their idols around their altars, on every high hill, on all the mountaintops, under every green tree, and under every leafy oak, wherever they offered pleasing aroma to all their idols.

It is innate for a person to become possessive. Say for instance in a relationship, no sane woman would want to share her man to another woman and vice versa. No owner of an adorable animal would want that pet to serve another master. Same is true with God. For everything that He has done, He deserves to be the apple of our eyes. He has the right to be jealous.

A life that is not centered on God is shakable for it is a life that is not established with a good foundation. On the other hand, if we choose to prioritize God, no matter how steep is the road, God will always be there to lead the way and be the source of our strength and hope.

We shouldn’t wait for His fury to come over just like years ago when the Israelites worshiped the golden calf. Know the fact that He is the Lord though we may not see him by now. He is all powerful. There’s no reason for us to look for another God nor worship and offer to fake gods. In times of need, these idols will not be able to save us nor help us. When judgment day comes if we still continue to choose these idols over God, expect to live eternal damnation.

Let us search ourselves. If we are giving much time to idols, then today is the best time to repent and start focusing our lives to God.
