The consequence of acting faithlessly (Ezekiel 15:6-8)

Therefore thus says the Lord God: Like the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so have I given up the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And I will set my face against them. Though they escape from the fire, the fire shall yet consume them, and you will know that I am the Lord, when I set my face against them. And I will make the land desolate, because they have acted faithlessly, declares the Lord God.

Life here on earth is like a prerequisite subject before we could take a major business of eternity. Although some were exempted because they have gone too soon during their early age, we who were able to see and experience the beauty of this world need to take the course. Quitting the subject by means of suicide is a No-No.

God has given us the free will. He has given us the freedom to make a choice but of course, He wanted us to follow Him and obey his commandments. It is up to us if we still succumb to the will of God or to the will of the flesh. But we must put in mind that our choices in the past and present will result to our future. As I have said, life on earth is a prerequisite to where we will spend our eternity.

Let us talk about life after death. How can we have an eternal life in Heaven? Know for a fact that there is only one way, “I am the way, the truth and the life, no one goes to the Father except through me.” Those who have repented, surrendered their life to Jesus and made him as their Lord and Savior have the ticket to heaven because of their faith. How about the faithless? That answers the question, how can we have an eternal life in Hell? Based from the verse above, God had given up and set His face against the faithless inhabitants. These individuals will be compared to the wood of the vine which were given to the fire for fuel, though they escape from the fire, the fire shall consume them. Those who do not have Jesus in their hearts could possibly rot in hell eternally. Though they will try to escape, there will be no way out. Sufferings will consume them forever.

Death is inevitable and life is unpredictable. While we still have the time, surrender your life to Jesus and have faith in Him before it is too late, before the fire consumes our body and soul, literally.
