A new creation in Christ

And say to the rebellious house, to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord God: O house of Israel, enough of all your abominations (Ezekiel 44:5144f7bff6d03cc8b12daa9cf81335b9

Getting tired of being good? We shouldn’t be. It should be doing bad that must be put into halt. Before we end the day, we should make it a habit to meditate. Buy a notebook and list down the good versus the bad things that we have done. In such a way we will be reminded of asking for God’s forgiveness. As the days go by, a progress should be seen wherein goodness outnumbers the abominations. Salvation may not be through our actions but of God’s and Christ sacrifice yet it will please the Lord if we start living a life turning away from sin.

Once we had surrendered our life to God and had accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior, we’ve been made new creations, the old self has gone. We were purified and cleansed by the Spirit. Because of that case, we should try to get rid of sin and overcome temptation. Though there will be times that we will transgress, continue to walk in spirit. We may stumble for some time but God is handing His helping hands. Let us always ask for God’s forgiveness. Let us always ask His presence to dwell in us. Let us request Him to help us fight wickedness and worldliness.

Strive hard to be sinless like Jesus. God said enough of all your outrages. There is no other better day to commence following His commands than now, brothers and sisters.

Breathtakingly Beautiful (Ezekiel 43:7-9)

He said: “Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place for the soles of my feet. This is where I will live among the Israelites forever. The people of Israel will never again defile my holy name—neither they nor their kings—by their prostitution and the funeral offerings[a] for their kings at their death.[b] When they placed their threshold next to my threshold and their doorposts beside my doorposts, with only a wall between me and them, they defiled my holy name by their detestable practices. So I destroyed them in my anger. Now let them put away from me their prostitution and the funeral offerings for their kings, and I will live among them forever.

Four billion years ago, the earth was created by our Maker for His creations to live by. It was so breathtakingly beautiful. Nature was at its best, the swaying trees, the blooming plants, running waters of the rivers and seas all crystal clear, animals of various species, shapes and sizes existed. There was no war, no threats to life. Peace was reigning. Yet as time passes by and the sovereignty of the land was transferred from generation to generation, a lot of changes occurred. Pollution is everywhere, crimes and wars are heard all over the news every day, trees had been cut down leaving forests denuded, rivers and other bodies of water became dump sites, many species of animals had been proclaimed endangered. The wonders and beauty of nature and other creations of God had been ruined. Is this the place where the King of king reigns?

Our body is considered to be God’s temple. Now, compare it to this world. When the sperm cell meets the egg cell, a zygote is formed and that becomes us. The beauty of innocence—that is the gift of childhood. But as our eyes were opened to worldly cravings and wicked surroundings, the purity of our hearts and minds were polluted. We became self-centered. We had forgotten that God should be our focus. We became hard headed and follow the fad of this world instead of doing God’s commandments. Are we still worthy to be called God’s temple?

Despite how filthy we are, God had devised a way out to make us pure again. Several centuries ago, His Son Jesus Christ became the ransom for our sins. God is omnipresent but there is one thing He could not see and that is our sins when it is covered by the blood of Jesus.

Once we humble ourselves before God, repent and surrender our lives to Him, accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and start to live a new life, we can become a new creation. We will be purified by God. He will cleanse our hearts. Because of these things, God may now dwell in us and we can once again become His temple.

The valley of dry bones (Ezekiel 37:11-14)

11 Then he said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the people of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’ 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. 13 Then you, my people, will know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. 14 I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord.’”

The Lord Jesus has risen from the dead days before His corpse was placed in a tomb. This miraculous happening will occur again soon on God’s second coming. However, that time, it is God’s children who will be raised from their graves and to with the Father in Heaven. He shall put His Spirit and we again shall live.

Are you afraid to die? Whether we like it or not, death is inevitable. Everything will come to an end. It’s just that some finish the race of life earlier. If you had already accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior, there is no need to worry for your life after death. Our bodies during the judgment day may have been buried 6 feet under but God will open up our graves. And we will arise and go with God in Heaven where we will live life eternally.

When I was asked am I afraid to die, I was not able to answer abruptly. I am not afraid to die because I know I am already saved but my worry is for my love ones who haven’t surrendered their lives to Christ yet.

Maybe you are on the same case as mine. Probably you are still not ready to die because your father, mother, children and other relatives are still living to please the flesh. Now it’s time for us to make a move. Spread the word, preach the gospel, and invite friends and relatives. Let us become instruments so that many will be saved. In such a way we will be able to help many souls and please God. When the time of the second coming arrives, not only the graves will be opened. We and our relatives will all be raised up to go to Heaven with the Father. That would be the best reunion that could ever happen.

A new heart (Ezekiel 36:26)

And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.heart-transplant

God moves in mysterious ways. There is no doubt about that. He has the power to change a person. He has the ability to turn a heart of flesh into stone or vice versa. No matter how wicked a man is, when God uses His supernatural might, that person can be turned into a saint.

We all are sinners. No one can go in the midst of all of us and proclaim that he/she never did commit any iniquity or transgression. For the wages of sin is death, we all deserve to die. BUT, God sent His only Son as a living sacrifice for all the wicked things we have done.  You and I are now a new creation. The old was gone, the new has come. Our dirty hands were cleansed and our filthy hearts were purified. That is how good our God is.

Doesn’t it feel good when we are in His presence? Well, it would be much better if we start to fulfill God’s vision to save many souls. There are still a lot of human whose heart and spirit are still filled with anger, wickedness, vengeance and other negativity. As a new creation, let us spread the good news of God. Pray every day for those whose heart is still of stone. God can melt that rock-hard heart by faith for to Him, nothing is impossible.

What are we still waiting for, new creations? Use that new heart to win souls.

An open letter to a woman dating a married man

We all fantasized of finding true love. In fact, it is one of some women’s ultimate dream. And when that daydream comes true, certainly there is bliss. However, happiness should not be dependent on external factors such as, in this case, a relationship partner. Do not grab another woman’s joy by seducing her boyfriend/husband just so you could find your own.

You are destined to do good and great things. You have the ability to conquer temptation. You are not meant to become a mistress. You were not created to wreck a happy family. You have a purpose in life so find that reason for living while waiting for your own prince charming. Remember that God created Adam and Eve to become one and you are definitely out of that picture just like what you are doing right now. You are meant to belong to someone, an unattached man.

How could you ever endure the fact that you are the cause of so much distress? You make a wife feel worthless. You are the reason why her heart is full of anger, pain and mistrust. How could you ever sleep peacefully at night knowing that you’ve broken innocent children’s hearts who will add up again to the increasing number of kids living in a broken family?

You will be hated by many who love those victims so dearly. You will be called slut, homewrecker, husband-stealer, desperate scheming itchy witch. And in the eyes of majority, you kind of deserve it.

“But I love him,” you tell me. And so as I love Enrique Iglesias! Girl, give me a break! Love is not self-seeking! Love does not tolerate bad habits! What you are feeling right now, that is not love, that’s lust and the other sister emotions of it (like 80% of what you are feeling towards that married man). This feeling will surely die once the itch has gone because the foundation of your relationship is sinful and filthy.

Hear me out or at least, listen to your parents and friends’ advices. You do not deserve to be with him. You deserve someone better. So please, quit playing the game before the game plays you. End this sinful relationship and encourage your current partner to reconcile with his wife. God meant marriage to be for life and who are you to ruin what God has planned? Ask for forgiveness and go live a life void of adulterous relationship. As they say, cheating is a choice not a mistake.

Believe me, the right man will come along. How can you be with him if you continue to be with the wrong person? It will be painful,I know. Nevertheless, it will be more heart wrenching if you refuse to listen now. God has something better in store for you. In the moment of waiting, allow God to change you, cleanse you and purify your heart. Seek a life that centers on God. Let Him show you what real love is, the kind of love you had never imagined in the previous and current relationships you’ve had. And only then will you be able to know what true love is. When He knows you are ready, He will reveal the right person.

My advice, to find ever after, girl, do not follow the wrong star!

The use of senses (Ezekiel 40:4)

And the man said to me, “Son of man, look with your eyes, and hear with your ears, and set your heart upon all that I shall show you, for you were brought here in order that I might show it to you. Declare all that you see to the house of Israel.”

One of the purpose of our existence here on Earth is to see the beauty of God’s creations. We were made to enjoy life to the fullest and not to dwell in despair and sufferings. These are the things that we often forgot. We are too preoccupied with negativity and hopelessness that we skip the appreciation of the wonders of this world.

Make use of your senses properly. Our eyes were made to glance at the stunning creations God has blessed us, to stare at the beautiful faces of our fellowmen, to witness meaningful and blissful happenings. Our ears were created to listen to God’s voice, to hear good advises, to be guided to the right path, to be encouraged by words of wisdom. Our hearts were made to experience God’s love, how to be loved, to sow optimistic outlook and good vibes. Our lips were given to praise and worship our Maker, to pray for one another, to proclaim God’s goodness and grace.

However, are we using our body to what supposed it should be? Instead of what should be done, eyes were used to watch pornography or glance at a woman lustfully. Ears were now utilized to listen to worldly music with filthy lyrics. Hearts are mostly filled with revenge, anger, resentment and jealousy. Lips curse and swears, proclaim lies and deceit, hurt other people and emit toxic words that pollute.

Blessed are we that we were created with these senses. Will we only appreciate once we lost one of it? All of these are important that is why these were placed in a human’s body. Yet if we are using it wrongly, all the systems in our body will also be affected.

How to live life to the fullest despite the wickedness of our surroundings, temptations along the way, hard challenges and tough situations? Use your senses properly! Read the Bible with your eyes, listen to God’s leading with your ears, sow God’s words in your heart and speak blessings with your lips.

The blockage (Ezekiel 36:26)

26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

There are times that God seems so far away, so out of reach, so hard to find. There are moments when God seems not listening nor answering our prayers. In such times, do we question God’s presence or do we question ourselves what probably had we done that drew us farther from God?

Sin is the number one culprit that disrupts our communication with God. If we could recall, it is the reason why Adam and Eve were commanded to leave the Garden of Eden, why Noah needed to make an ark because of the huge flood, why the tower of Babel was not finished, why Sodom and Gomorrah were ruined, why David’s son died and many more. Transgressions block our relationship with God.

But all have sinned and not even one is righteous. What shall we do to restore the relationship hindered by our iniquities?

In pathophysiology, a term called heart blockage or coronary artery disease exist which  is a buildup of plaque causing narrowing of the arteries that supply the heart muscle with blood. If this blockage is severe, it could prevent the muscle from receiving the blood it needs to function which could lead to shortness of breath or chest pain. Treatment includes surgery or medications that must be taken for a long period of time. In Christian life, the clot is called sin.

We must humble ourselves and ask for God’s forgiveness. The blockage brought upon by sin will be broken if we are willing to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, surrender our whole life to Him and confess our wrongdoings. He is faithful and just to forgive us.

Do not forget the reason why Christ came and that is to save us. But it shouldn’t be an excuse for us to sin. Aim to live a Christ like life.
