Violence and oppression

“Thus says the Lord GOD: Enough, O princes of Israel! Put away violence and oppression, and execute justice and righteousness. Cease your evictions of my people, declares the Lord GOD.

It was September 2013 when the MNLF ruined the city of Zamboanga in Mindanao. Hundreds were kidnapped by the rebels while the people were peacefully resting in their houses. These hostages became shield during the attack of the soldiers. Many innocent lives were lost. Properties were destroyed because of bombing leaving the residents homeless. And it all happened because of the selfish motives of these MNLFs.

The bad news was all over the television everyday for a couple of weeks. I have seen the civilians run for their lives while rebels and militars were exchanging gun fires. It was like watching an action movie but this one is a true story. The blood oozing from the victims body was not made from glutinous and food color but a real blood pumped by the heart. It breaks my soul to watch such a very tragic event! How much more did those who actually went through the tragedy?

Why can’t we live in peace? There really are people who loves to ruin and I do not know the reason for such behavior but one thing is for sure, many people are being involved with the practices of these rebels who love to execute violence.

Hats off to the soldiers who are willing to sacrifice their lives for the country, to bring peace and order. Some may have died brutally and instantly while fighting for peace yet they did not die in vain. What they did will never escape God’s eyes and I strongly believe that God will give great reward to those who are striving to eradicate violence and oppression.

Sons of God, be awakened. If we were not called to fight like soldiers, I am pretty sure that we are given the gift to fight violence through our lips, minds and actions. Report incidences of violence towards children, women, elderly and to your fellowmen. God is with us, do not be afraid. Fight for what is right.
