Christlikeness

16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. 17 If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king.18 But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.”

If we exist during the time of King Nebuchadnezzar or if someone like King Nebuchadnezzar imposes the same commandment about worshipping his image, are we certain that we can stand for what is right and what is pleasing in the eyes of God? Are we willing to take the risk just to obey God’s commandments?

The faith and determination of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego is so amazing and incomparable. These three young men are good example of Christians who lived “Christlikely”. When it is your life that is at stake, sometimes it is hard to live rightfully. Recall how Judas betrayed Jesus for money and Peter who denied Christ because of shame. No matter what happens, we should always go on the good side even if it will take our life. Remember, those who will lose their life for Christ will have it. Anyway, life here on earth is just temporary, the real deal would be life after death.

The end is near. Tribulation is coming. Can we stay determined with our stand when the time that we cannot buy anything without the mark of the beast comes? Will we possess the strongest faith that God will deliver us or even if not, we will still not allow ourselves to be owned by the enemy? We must be the Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego of this generation and it should start now. Start to live righteously and walk in Spirit even if it means sacrifice.
