They shall go after the LORD; he will roar like a lion; when he roars, his children shall come trembling from the west;
My teacher once told our class how she feared her grandparents. She narrated that during meal time, no piece of rice should be left nor put into waste. They need to eat all the food in their plate. If not, they will be scolded. In her time, they respect and obey the elders so much. Nowadays, observe the children around you. Many had already forgotten their manners. It pains me to see when a kid shouts at his/her parents and answers ill-mannered. Respect is now slowly fading. Worst, we might be one of those who had forgotten that it is our duty to respect and obey our parents and the elders. What they say is what we should follow because they only want what is best for us.
Learn a lesson from the cited verses above. When a lion roars, his children comes trembling from where they are. As children of God, we must fear our Lord God. When He commands us to do something, we must obey. We should not wait for Him to be angry before we follow. When He says go, do not say no. When He says No, do not insist to go.
Obedience is the key to a successful life. Listen to the voice of God so that you (and me) shall know where to go and what to do. Blessed are those who fear the Lord.
