Share your testimony

21 And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, 22 he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him

(Colossians 1: 21-22)

Ever heard of royal rumble in the streets? Ever knew someone who is not afraid of anyone? I know how it feels to cringe whenever we hear or witness stories of riots. And the sad news is, the age of those who are involved are getting younger. Those who were supposed to be sitting down in school are spending the night to dawn in the busy streets of the metro. Their innocence are lost at a very young age.

Behind every member of these gang involve in riots have a story to tell. Curiosity brought me to the life of Nicky Cruz. He is a Christian Evangelist, founder of an evangelistic Christian Ministry called Nicky Cruz Outreach. But before converting as a Christian, he was one of those who is spreading wickedness in New York. In fact, he was the leader of the New York City gang known as The Mau-Maus. Just like any other rebel, his past turned him to become antisocial. His parents were followers of Spiritism and they mentally abused him as a child. He was always getting into trouble. At a very young age, he lived on the streets and was exposed to city gangs. But God did not allow him to live a dirty life until death. He sent David Wilkerson, a preacher who told this gang that JESUS love them and would never stop loving them. It was not easy at first but God was continuously talking to him and in the altar call conducted by Wilkerson, a large number of the gang surrendered their life to Jesus. This was the beginning of Nicky Cruz’ conversion to Christianity.

Our God has various amazing ways of transforming lives. Each of us has his/her own testimony. We were once living in darkness but because of Christ, we are now walking in the light of God. Nicky Cruz had shared his amazing story to others which testifies how great our God is. How about us? Did God liberate you from addiction? Did God transformed your life from filthy living to a holy habit? Don’t keep it a secret. Share it! You’ll never know how it will impact the lives of others who are at the same shoes as yours before.
