he dawns on them like the morning light,
like the sun shining forth on a cloudless morning,
like rain that makes grass to sprout from the earth.
(2 Samuel 23: 4)
People will always have something to say no matter how good or bad a person is. I reckon it is already in our nature to complain especially when it comes to the one who is ruling the country. Instead of supporting the people who are in authority, we tend to criticize their decisions and actions. And then, we ask for peace and security. How absurd the world can be!
The One who rules the universe, unlike man, is all powerful and all knowing. But despite all the good things that God has done in our lives, sometimes we still grumble. Petty life challenges make us question His plan. That should not be our attitude. If we really love and respect the Ruler of the Earth, we must put our whole trust in His hands. Just like the rain that makes the grass grow, God is the reason of our being. He is the light of our life and without Him, we are nothing. That is why we Christians must prioritize God above all else. He is the petroleum that fuels our lives. And without Him, we will not function appropriately until our spirit dies. So, beware and be mindful of who is ruling your life.
