Lamp Unto My Feet, Light Unto My Path (Psalm 119:105)

Your word is a lamp to my feet
    and a light to my path

Despite the advances in technology, there are still places in the country that are not yet power generated. At night, the residents got no choice but to live in darkness. Children have to study early or if not, they have to persevere reading using a candle lit. Because these places are hard to reach, the residents keep waiting for someone to be notified about their situation, give solution to their problems and bring light to their dim place.

If the Word of God is light, that means there are still many people out there who, too, like those living in far flung areas without power generation are living in darkness yet? These are the unbelievers. These are the persons who haven’t accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior.

We, as Christ’s ambassadors, have to be the instruments that these believers will be able to see the light and step out of darkness. They too, like us, should be able to experience God’s amazing, love. They should witness how God lights up their path and how He serves as lamp unto their feet.

When God’s words are shared, a soul can be saved and when that happens, thousands of angels in heaven will rejoice. God wants many to be saved. It is not the time to be selfish. Let us share the light to those who still reside in darkness.

Following the Light (Psalm 43:3)

Send out your light and your truth;
    let them lead me;
let them bring me to your holy hill
    and to your dwelling!

The popular knowledge to mankind of the reason why the three wise men found the newborn Jesus Christ was because they had followed the light coming from a bright star. They never were mistaken, they were able to reach the manger were Christ was born.

A life lesson that we could apply based from the Three Wise Men’s story is to follow the light which refers to Jesus. When we follow the light, we will never be misled. When there is light, we could see the beauty of this world that God has given. We will know which way to go. When Christ is with us, we will not stumble in the dark. Follow Christ and obey His words, the best will come your way!
