Not in an instant (Isaiah 49: 23)

…..Then you will know that I am the Lord;
    those who hope in me will not be disappointed

I am one of those who hates waiting. I really have this narrow patience span. But you know what? When all you can do is wait, you have no choice! I have waited for two years just to have a job. And I am still waiting for the right man to come along. Sometimes I ask God, “ Don’t you think it it’s unfair Lord? All I do all my life is to wait! I waited for 24 years, I never had a boyfriend because I wanted to obey you. How come in other aspects I still have to wait? I am so sick and tired Lord. When will these postponements ever stop?”

Have you ever been on the same shoes as mine? Haste makes waste. We were used to have what we want in just a wink of the eye. We hate to learn the art of waiting and for this reason, we almost always end up frustrated. What we get is not the best one. If we only know how to wait patiently.

It is those who wait patiently who will most probably receive God’s perfect gift. God said that those who wait for me shall not be put to shame and that includes waiting on God’s will to happen.

There is a reason why God doesn’t give what we want in an instant. He wants us to learn how to be patient. He wants us to develop endurance and he is waiting for the right and perfect time. Wait for your prayers, aspirations and dreams to be ripe before you harvest it.

Search no more (Song of Solomon 3:1-2)

In my bed at night
I sought the one I love;
I sought him, but did not find him.
I will arise now and go about the city,
through the streets and the plazas.
I will seek the one I love.
I sought him, but did not find him.

love is waiting by ricaelaine

Love is waiting. We do not have to search for it. We just have to wait for it to come our way. There is always a time for everything just like the meteorological conditions. During summer seasons, we do search for rainy days because of the hot weather. Our prayers might not be granted because there is a time for the rain to pour.

Brooke Fraser’s song says love is waiting until you’re ready. We do not have to rush things and end up with the wrong one. Search no more because when we truly desire it, we will surely find it at the right time. God is preparing that special someone for us so we should ready ourselves too by being a good wife/husband all the days of our lives.

If we truly are meant to find someone, we have to wait for that person to come. Though we may be poles apart now, God can move mountains to bring us together at His perfect time. There is no need to search for nothing for even when we do not look for it, love will find us. Waiting is everything and once we found our true love it would be all worth it.

Practicing Patience (Isaiah 8:17)

I will wait for the Lord, who is hiding his face from the house of Jacob, and I will hope in him

God is not dead and He is not deaf. He may be moving in a slow motion but He is never late. He is the master of the art of right timing.

Sarah was able to conceive and give birth to a child in her 90s. A woman who has bleeding disorder for decades was healed with just a touch of Jesus’ clothe through her faith.

We may thought for some time that as if God is not listening to our concerns. Why does He not respond immediately to our requests?

Learn to practice patience when God has us waiting. Yes, some days it’s a lot harder to be patient but do not get tired. You are not alone in waiting.

Whatever situation we are into–may you be a pregnant mother who can’t wait for nine struggling months to end, a student dying for the semester to close; a single waiting for a partner to come along; whether you have problems waiting to be solved and prayers that need to be answered, be patient! Keep the faith. God is with us. There is hope in Him so do not give up. There is a purpose behind everything.

When we are waiting for the Lord, we are not waiting in vain. Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord.

Not In An Instant (Psalm 69:13)

But as for me, my prayer is to you, O Lord.
    At an acceptable time, O God,
    in the abundance of your steadfast love answer me in your saving faithfulness

The problem with humans is that we had gotten use to instant things–instant coffee, instant noodles, instant fiancée and all that is why sometimes life is lost with just a wink of the eye because we do not have the habit of waiting and persisting.

God has three answers to our prayers–YES, NO. WAIT. If our prayers were granted, then we are good in persuading God somehow. Haha. (Excellent convincing power!) If He said NO, it doesn’t mean that He doesn’t hear us. All of our requests will all past and enter His open ears. Unanswered prayers unlocked the door to something far better than that we are asking. God answers WAIT because He wants us to learn the art of being patient, persistent, enduring, and trusting. Great things come to those who wait.

His thoughts are higher than ours. Just trust him and allow His will to happen. With that, do not hate God for not granting our requests in an instant. Never cease praying!
